This explains the history of Christopher A. Niedzielski’s web page. Ever since I first got on the Internet and started surfing to these things called web pages I was hooked, I wanted one! But they were very expensive back then this being like in the later part of ninety-six. Or at least it seemed to be to me being that I had to fork over at least seventy dollars for the domain name and then there was the cost of hosting and the fact that I was an unemployed 14 year old. So that is the main reason why it took so long for me to get a web page. So as I was looking at all of this I figured why not try one of the free hosts, so I did. I got a WebPages at tripod.com but I never really did anything with it. In fact I didn’t do anything with it at all I just forgot about. Then I tried one at spree.com. That one I actually built and had it up with some stuff on it. But I lost interest in it because no one went to it and it was hard to edit. Spree said that if there was no activity on the page for more than 30 days they would delete it. Well it took them a couple of years before I started getting e-mail warning me that if I did not do anything with it, it would be deleted! Well by then I could care less about it because I had my own real web page! Kaoc.net

Anyhow there was another problem that I had to deal with before getting a web site of my own. What should it be about and what should the web address be??

Well first to answer the subject. If you read the about me section you will know that I like many, many things. And one of the things that I liked a ton and still do somewhat was military stuff, just about anything and everything about it! So I always wanted to make a web page about the military and all of their stuff. But I had some problems. Just what should I put on it and where was I going to get it. My parents are not into the military and I do not live near any bases so that was a big problem. And my parents do not exactly like to go visiting military bases and museums.

I also like survival stuff not like the paranoid type of people that want to go and blow up the world but like the ability of being able to go out into the woods with like nothing and survive. So I thought maybe I should make a web page on survival and that type of stuff. I figured that it would not be that hard. But when I was telling my parents about my dream they had a serious problem with it. Because of current world affairs back then and even more so with the events of September 11 2001(aren’t parents supposed to support their children in their dreams?). So a web pages on survival never happened.

Now we have the problem of what the address of the web page should be. And you are probably wondering what KAOC stands for. Well for years I was going with the military thing and wanted military.com and almost got it a few times. I was going to make it my personal home page but that never happened because shortly before I was actually ready to get my own web page, someone else bought it (and the .net one was taken all ready). I was very disappointed and even waited a little bit to see if it would come back up for grabs. I figured it was just one of those people that go out and buy tons of names and try to sell them but it did not come up for grabs. So I ended up going with my back up plan which was kaoc.com but a couple of days before I went to place the order someone else took it. And since then I have come to believe that it was someone trying to make a buck because nothing was ever put up on it and it is now back up for grabs. So I was forced to go with kaoc.net so that is what I got and have had for the last three years or so.

Now what does KAOC mean well it all started back when I had the free web pages and was wondering what to put on it. I was jokingly talking about a survival group page when my dad jokingly said “I can see it now our son is going to be the leader of an international group called KAOC (sounded out chaos) which stands for Kids Against Organized Civilization”. Now as you can imagine just how much of a field day the FIB and other world law enforcement agencies would have with a group like that! I don’t even know what a group like that would do! So of course I did not do anything with it! And I had no intention of starting any type of group. But the name sounded cool. So it stuck with me for years and I still like it so that is what it stands for but it has no meaning for anything on this page or anything I do. But it sounds cool. Now when I first got this web page I was going to put all my good pictures up and all this stuff about things I did but I found I did not have the time to. So it just sat there and is still sitting there. Now I have decided that I am just going to put up stuff as I get to it and it is just going to have pictures of things that I like and took and about people that I know and all the other good stuff that goes on a personal web page. So now you know!!
